| My favorite paintings of landscapes and still lifes are ones that tell a story but leave a little mystery for the viewer. I like to draw the viewer into the paintings and make them feel the white textured backgrounds but at the same time feel the dimension and texture of each object in the painting. The textural qualities are developed from a multi-gypsum compound that I build into each painting for dimension and image quality. This also allows me to work with a fine detailed approach and in a more abstract style. My heart is in each one of these paintings. The landscapes, most of which are in and around the Lehigh Valley, seek to capture the essence of the place I live. It’s really about capturing the environment and sharing it with those who appreciate its beauty and the simple things surrounding us in our everyday life.

| A message from the Executive Director
| “In God we trust, all others bring data” has become the guiding principle for nonprofit management these days. During this economic downturn, the competition for dollars has placed a greater emphasis on the efficient delivery of service. But data collection and analysis can also serve as a valuable advocacy tool. During the next two years, the Lehigh Valley Arts Council will undertake three research projects to measure the impact of the arts on the region’s economy, quality of life, and audiences. - Arts & Economic Prosperity IV: The Arts Council will once again partner with American for the Arts to assess the economic impact of the nonprofit arts industry in the region. The 2007 study reported a figure of $169.1M annually, which represented a 50% growth rate from the 2002 study.
- Local Arts Index: A comprehensive analysis of the local arts industry as it relates to for-profit, nonprofit, accredited arts programs, and organizations, businesses, and individuals in the field.
- Market Segmentation Study: A profile analysis of the Lehigh Valley cultural consumer and their patronage behavior. Nonprofit members are invited to participate and will receive an individualized report detailing the demographic and psychographic trends of their patrons.
It's time to get busy counting! |
